Unborn Babies Forever with God

There are so many comforting words in the Bible that a person can hold close to one’s heart.  Here is one that really speaks to me:  “Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! See! I have carved you on the palms of My hands.’’  Isaiah 49:15-16 NIV Bible.  Having lost babies myself, these Bible verses give me great hope!  Abortion in America is shattering; thus, these words of promise and hopefulness from God give us all courage for our future.

The devastating fact about Abortion in America affects most of us in same way or another.  Here are some statistics about Abortion in America:  “In 2008, approximately 1.21 million abortions took place in the U.S., down from an estimated 1.29 million in 2002, 1.31 million in 2000 and 1.36 million in 1996. From 1973 through 2008, nearly 50 million legal abortions have occurred in the U.S. (AGI).”  On the positive side, the Abortion rate is on a slight downward swing here in America, and it’s probably partially due to more education and knowledge about the issue.

One of the very reassuring promises we have as Christians is that God tells us in His word that He knew us before we were born and He created us in our Mother’s womb.  I don’t know about all of you, but this soothes my soul.  Basically, His promise is that He loved us before and after we were born, and all the aborted babies and miscarriages were created by Him, The Alpha and Omega, The Beginning and End.  Therefore, I can only conclude that those precious lives lost here on earth are secure with an Almighty God in paradise surrounded by his agape love for eternity.  For this reason we can have hope because God is alive today and forevermore…

Good stuff Yankee. Abortion is such a stain on our country and moral values, but it’s encouraging that it is slowly declining. I agree the main reason for the decline is the scientific knowledge we now have to see into the womb. There is no denying that it is a baby and women are seeing the facts.

For those that have had an abortion, there is forgiveness in Christ and no condemnation. Come to peace with that and know that your child is in Heaven for eternity, and you will meet him or her at the Pearly Gates.
