Sometimes we lose hope because of a failed marriage, loss of a child, or because we were let go from a job. The results from any type of loss can bring on the symptoms of depression and anxiety which can cause one to feel hopeless and helpless about their circumstances. In addition, today in the U.S. the political and cultural aspects of our society are also very sullen, so it feels like its doom and gloom across America! However, with God there is hope!
The meaning of Hope according to the Merriam Webster Dictionary: “to want something to happen or be true and think that it could happen or be true”. With God, there is a promise of a better future in America. According to the Christian Bible there is hope: “Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
We can believe in our serendipity, karma, or fate, but God does have plans for us to flourish according to His word. He is with us every second of every day, so we can ask him to give us hope in our desperate circumstances. God wants us to step out in faith and believe in a prosperous future; thus, creating a feeling of hope. If we do our part and have faith in Him, He will certainly comfort us with hope!
Sometimes when we look to the world for hope that’s when one just feels like giving up, such as what possibly happens to people who commit suicide, but we must look to our creator for His promise to never leave or forsake us! Believe me, at times life gets extremely challenging and scary, and for this very reason, the first thing I do is look to God for Hope! In all my experiences thus far in my life, whenever I forget God, I feel no hope!
Nevertheless, with God, one has so much more hope and possibilities, so look to your creator and protector for the promise of a wonderful future…
